This is such a sweet idea thanks to a subtle revelry ! I can imagine it for a wedding or any special event. I adore how playful these balloons are- they are also a bit shabby chic – which I LOVE! They took ordinary party supplies and created balloons that present great interest to any special event. I can imagine such creativity with this project! This would be beautiful with multiple colors and in a combination of coordinating fabrics to add great interest to any celebration.
First blow up a balloon and measure your fabric around it. Cut the fabric to size and cover the fabric in fabric stiffener. Then cover the balloon smoothing out the fabric as you go (no need for perfection, some wrinkles will bring character and personality to each balloon).
Hang the covered balloons from a clothing line with a drop towel underneath and let dry for about 2 days. Once dry, use a pin to gently pop each balloon. As it deflates the balloon will pull away from the fabric leaving you a perfect fabric balloon shape. Attach a long ribbon or rope to the balloon base with glue and finish off with twine.
Hope you enjoy!
